Biography
As a Junior...Led the team with a stroke average of 80.0...Turned in a stellar State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Tournament performance, where she tied for third place after shooting her low round , 76, twice and finishing with a 235 score (76-76-83) in the 54-hole tournament... Placed in the top 20 in five tournaments...Shot 17 rounds in the 70’s, highlighted by her all-70’s feat (77-78-79) at the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic for her low 54-hole score of 234.
As a Sophomore: Sixth on the team with an 82.963 stroke average for the year...Finished tied for fifth with a 36-hole score of 153 at the MSU Payne Stewart Memorial (Apr. 2-3) for her best finish of the season...Shot her low round of the season, a 71, at the State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Championship (Apr. 15-17)...Krista's low 54-hole score came at the UALR/North Texas Golf Classic where she shot a 235 and finished tied for 45th.
As a Freshman: Sixth on the team with an 82.750 stroke average for the year... Had her best finish at the MVC Championships (Apr. 16-18) when she finished tied for 30th... Shot her low round of the season, a 75, at the Marilynn Smith/Sunflower Invitational (Oct. 9-11)... Her low 54-hole score of 241 came at the Susie Maxwell Berning Invitational (Apr. 8-10)... Shot ten round in the 70s, 16 rounds in the 80s and one round in the 90s.
High School: Played at Wahoo Public High School for coaches Barb Shanahan and John Horsham, and lettered all four years in golf and basketball... Krista was named the MVP of the golf team all four years and was named All-State twice... In basketball she was All-State honorable mention and second team All-Conference... Her sophomore year she led the Warriors to a district championship and a birth in the state tournament... Her senior year she represented Wahoo as an individual and finished second at state.
Personal: Born June 27, 1986... Daughter of Tom and Jeanine Hrdlicka... Has a brother, Ryan, who plays golf for Concordia University... Plans to major in secondary education... Krista chose Wichita State for it’s “small campus atmosphere and friendly people.”
