TAMPA, Fla. - No. 15/17 Washington (8-1) got a two-hit gem from Danielle Lawrie (6-0) and the Huskies pounded out seven hits en route to a 9-0 run-rule victory over Wichita State (3-8) to win the USF/Wilson Invitational with a 5-0 mark in tournament play.

Starter Margo Pruis (2-2) was charged with all nine runs, while walking five and striking out four. All five runs she gave up in the second were unearned, and the senior gave up just six hits on the morning.
