Biography

As a Junior (2006):
Played in 58 games while starting 57 contests in the outfield for the Shockers in 2006... Hit .286, which was third best on the team, with eight doubles, one triple, one home run and 13 RBI... Spent the majority of the season as the Shockers' leadoff hitter, while starting 26 games sixth in the batting order... Hit .311 with the bases empty, and .500 with the bases loaded... Scored 23 runs and was third on the team and ninth among Valley players with 50 hits... Finished among the top five in The Valley in at bats with 175... Moved into second on the all-time stolen base list with 43rd career swipe, while leading the team and the conference with 24 stolen bases on 27 attempts... Posted a team season-high two sacrifices against Creighton (April 15)... Tied a team season-high with two stolen bases against Evansville on April 1... Finished third on the squad with 13 multiple-hit games and also recorded three contests with multiple RBI... Tied a team high and a new personal best with a six-game hitting streak from March 29 - April 5... Hit first career home run against Illinois on Feb. 12... Finished second on the team with five sacrifices... Went 2-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored against Illinois on Feb. 12... Named to the AD's Honor Roll for both the Fall 2005 and Spring 2006 semesters and the Dean's Honor Roll in Spring 2006... Named to the Missouri Valley Conference Honor Roll.


In the Postseason (2005):
Was hitless in two plate appearances in the 2005 NCAA Norman Regional.


As a Sophomore (2005):
Played in 62 games while starting 59 contests in the outfield for the Shockers in 2005... Hit .280 with 40 hits, a team-high four triples and six RBI... Ranked third in the conference in triples... Finished the season as the team leader with 12 stolen bases in 16 attempts... Was second on the team with nine sacrifices... Finished fourth on the squad with a .288 average in conference play... Was 6-for-8 in stolen base attempts in Valley  action... Went 3-for-10 at the plate in the State Farm MVC Tournament... Hit .337 with the bases empty and .333 with two outs... Had seven multiple-hit and one multiple-RBI game... Recorded a three-game hit streak from March 9-11... Went 4-for-4 with a run scored against North Texas on March 4, falling one hit shy of the WSU single-game record... Went 5-for-6 with four runs scored and two RBI in a double-header against Valparaiso on March 9... Named to the AD’s Honor Roll for both the Spring and Fall 2005 semesters and the Dean’s Honor Roll for the Spring 2005 semester... Named to the Missouri Valley Conference Honor Roll.


As a Freshman (2004):
Played in 38 games with two starts in the outfield for the Shockers in 2004... Hit .294 on the season five hits in 17 at bats... Scored eight runs... Was 7-of-10 in stolen base attempts... Fielded 1.000 in the outfield... Maintained a .294 on-base percentage as well as a .294 slugging percentage... Hit .385 against right-handers... Hit .333 with runners on base... Hit .375 with runners in scoring position... Recorded one multiple-hit game, going 2-for-2 against Friends on April 21... Named to the AD’s Honor Roll and the Dean’s Honor Roll for both Fall 2003 and Spring 2004 semesters... Named a NFCA Scholar-Athlete.

 
In High School:
Attended Kapaun Mount Carmel High School in Wichita, Kan... Played for head coach Casey Cottrill... Earned three letters in basketball and four in softball... Four-year starter for the Crusaders... Was a member of the all-city first team in 2002 and 2003 as a centerfielder... Selected to the 2003 Class 5A all-state first team and the 2003 all-State, All Classes first team... Broke the school record with 21 stolen bases her senior year... Batted .506 her senior year in leading her team to the Kansas State Class 5A Championship game.

Daughter of Elmer and Patty Peters... Born April 16, 1985, as Erin Catherine Peters... Has three siblings; Emily, Angela and Matt... Majoring in sociology at Wichita State... Sister Emily played for Wichita State in 1997-98.
