Biography

As a Junior in 2009:
One of two Shockers to start every game, with 53 starts at second base… Was named Second Team All-Missouri Valley Conference after hitting .325 with eight home runs and 34 RBI, all career-highs… She led the team in slugging percentage (.550), RBI, doubles (12), total bases (88), and walks (26) and tied for the team lead in homers… Ranked in the MVC top-10 in hits (52), RBI, doubles, total bases and walks… Recorded 15 multi-hit and 11 multi-RBI games… Had a team-high 13-game hitting streak early in the season… Was named MVC Player of the Week for the week of Feb. 2-8… Had a career-high four-RBI against Oregon at the Kajikawa Classic after hitting her first grand slam in a 15-12 WSU win… Hit .500 with two homers, four doubles and six RBIs at the Sleep Inn Classic and was named tournament MVP... Defensively she fielded .981, committing just four errors while totaling 135 putouts and 76 assists… Her career .983 fielding percentage ranks seventh in school history… She continued her trend of being a difficult hitter to strikeout, going down on strikes just 18 times in 160 at-bats… Hit .313 in MVC play with five homers and 15 RBI… Named to the AD’s Honor Roll both semesters and named to the Dean’s Honor Roll following the Spring 2009 semester.

As a Sophomore in 2008:
Started all 61 games at second base for the Shockers... Hit .214 on the season with 15 RBI... Was fourth on the team in runs scored and doubles with 22 and eight, respectively... Drew 20 walks, tied for third-most... Second on the team in sacrifice hits with 14... Went 2-for-3 in stolen base attempts... Fielded .981 with 131 putouts, 80 assists and just four errors in her first full season at second base... Had a perfect fielding percentage in 26 Missouri Valley Conference games... Her career .984 fielding percentage ranks seventh highest on the all-time list... Went 3-for-4, including a two-run homer that gave WSU the lead at Indiana St., on April 12... Went 2-for-4 with an RBI, two runs, and four walks in two games at the 2008 State Farm MVC Tournament ... Named to the AD’s Honor Roll following the Spring 2008 semester.

As a Freshman in 2007:
Played in 63 games with 57 starts , 43 of which came at catcher for the Shockers in 2007... Hit .261 on the season, good for the fourth-best average on the team among regular starters... Fielded .985 on the season, including a .996 percentage in conference action, playing primarily behind the plate while also starting 12 games at second base... Recorded a team-high four sacrifice flies... Went 4-for-6 in stolen base attempts... Threw out 10 runners on the season and recorded two pickoffs, tied for second among conference catchers... Second on the squad with a .333 average in the State Farm MVC Tournament... Fifth on the squad with eight multiple-hit games and fourth on the club with five multiple-RBI contests... Posted a season-best five game hitting streak three times during the season, the last of which began with a 1-for-3 effort at Bradley on April 21... Named to both the AD’s Honor Roll and the Dean’s Honor Roll following both the Fall 2006 and Spring 2007 semesters... Named to the Missouri Valley Conference Honor Roll.

In High School:
Attended Flower Mound High School in Flower Mound, Texas... Played under head coach Wendy Massey... Earned three letters in softball and one in basketball... Named Offensive Player of the Year as a freshman with a .500 batting average... Named most improved player as a sophomore and was selected first-team all-District 7 and Newcomer of the Year... Earned Team MVP honors as a junior and was named first-team all-District 8... Named District 8 Offensive Player of the Year as a senior, as well as Team MVP and a first-team all-District 8 selection... Helped lead Jaguars to the bi-district Championship as a freshman and senior, and an area championship as a freshman... Member of the National Honor Society, the all-district academic softball team, the Mu Alpha Theta Honor Society, and graduated among the top 10-percent of her class.
