6/3/2026 5:38:00 PM

WICHITA, Kan. — Wichita State women's tennis was ranked No. 2 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Central Region rankings on Wednesday.
The No. 2 ranking ties Wichita State's highest regional ranking in program history, matching the mark set in 2007.

Additionally, the Shockers were ranked No. 3 in the ITA Mid-Major rankings, trailing Pepperdine and Charlotte. The ranking is the highest for the Shockers since the rankings were released after the 2021 season.

Individually, Wichita State was well represented in both the regional doubles and singles rankings.

In doubles, Xin Tong Wang and Giorgia Roselli were ranked as the No. 6 pairing in the region, while Theodora Chantava and Kristina Kudryavtseva checked in at No. 8. They became the program's first ranked doubles pairings since 2020.

In singles, Chantava was the highest-ranked Shocker, coming in at No. 11 in the region. Wang followed at No. 13, while Roselli was ranked No. 15. It marks Wichita State's first time having three regionally ranked singles players since 2018.
