WICHITA, Kan. — Wichita State was ranked No. 34 in Thursday's Intercollegiate Tennis Association team rankings.

The Shockers extended their streak of top-40 rankings, having been in the top 40 since Feb. 19.

Wichita State is one of three ranked teams in the American Conference, joining Charlotte (No. 31) and Rice (No. 42). All three teams earned bids to the NCAA Tournament.

The Shockers have wins over five teams — SMU, Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska and Rice — that appear in this week's ITA rankings. SMU and Kansas are both ranked in the top 40.

Additionally,
Xin Tong Wang and
Giorgia Roselli are ranked No. 46 in doubles, marking their 11th appearance in the rankings together this season.
Theodora Chantava also extended her ranking streak, checking in at No. 97.

The Shockers face No. 26 SMU in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday, May 2, at 11 a.m. at the Headington Family Tennis Center in Norman, Oklahoma.
