Shockers End Season Ranked No. 35

WICHITA, Kan. — Wichita State was ranked No. 35 in the final Intercollegiate Tennis Association team rankings of the season Wednesday morning.
 
The No. 35 ranking marks the Shockers' highest finish in the final ITA rankings since 2018, when they ended the year at No. 32. It also marked Wichita State's 12th consecutive appearance in the top 40 this season.
 
The Shockers were one of three ranked teams in the American Conference, ahead of Rice (No. 37) and behind Charlotte (No. 32).
 
Wichita State concluded the season with five wins over ranked opponents: SMU, Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska and Rice.
 
In doubles, Giorgia Roselli and Xin Tong Wang finished the season ranked No. 50. The duo appeared in every ITA doubles ranking this season and climbed as high as No. 9 on Feb. 19. Their 12 doubles rankings are the second most by a pairing in program history.
 
In singles, Theodora Chantava earned her eighth ranking of the season, checking in at No. 116. She climbed as high as No. 90 this season and owns the sixth-most singles rankings in program history.
 
As a team, the Shockers climbed as high as No. 24 in the 2026 ITA rankings, their highest ranking since 2018. Wichita State finished as American Conference runner-up and earned an at-large bid to the 2026 NCAA Tournament.
