WICHITA, Kan. — After adding two wins over the weekend, the Wichita State women's tennis team was ranked No. 28 in Tuesday's ITA rankings.
The Shockers have been ranked in the top 30 for seven weeks this season, including each of the past five.
Wichita State is the highest-ranked team in the American Conference, ahead of Charlotte (No. 32) and Rice (No. 54).
The Shockers have wins over six teams — SMU, Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, Rice and Long Beach State — that appear in this week's ITA rankings.
Additionally,
Xin Tong Wang and
Giorgia Roselli are ranked No. 34 in doubles, marking their eighth consecutive appearance in the rankings.
Theodora Chantava is ranked No. 102 in singles and has been in the rankings since March 3.
The Shockers' next match is at home against Creighton on Friday, April 10, at 4 p.m. CT.
