WICHITA, Kan. — No. 26 Wichita State kept its winning streak intact with a 4-0 win over South Florida on Friday at the Sheldon Coleman Tennis Complex.

Wichita State (15-3) extended its winning streak to 13 matches with the win over South Florida (5-12). The Shockers also improved to 4-0 against American Conference opponents this season with the victory.

In doubles,
Anne Knuettel and
Vichitraporn Vimuktananda struck quickly, winning 6-2 at No. 3 to give the Shockers the edge. Trailing 4-3 at both remaining courts,
Kristina Kudryavtseva and
Theodora Chantava rallied to win three consecutive games to take their court, 6-4, and secure the doubles point for Wichita State.

In singles, Wichita State remained in control by taking four of six first sets.

Chantava quickly dispatched her opponent, winning 6-2, 6-1 at No. 3 to put the Shockers up 2-0.

Vimuktananda made quick work of her opponent at No. 4, cruising to a 6-2, 6-2 victory to increase Wichita State's lead to 3-0.

Xin Tong Wang finished off the win for the Shockers with a 6-2, 6-2 victory at No. 1.
