WICHITA, Kan. — After a week away from match play, the Wichita State women's tennis team moved up one spot to No. 26 in Tuesday's Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings.
 
The Shockers have been ranked in the top 30 for five weeks this season, including each of the past three.

The No. 26 ranking is Wichita State's second-highest of the season, trailing only its No. 24 mark on Feb. 24.
 
The Shockers are the highest-ranked team in the American Conference, ahead of Charlotte (No. 29) and Rice (No. 54).
 
Wichita State has wins over seven teams — SMU, Iowa, Kansas, Kansas State, Nebraska, Rice and Long Beach State — that appear in this week's ITA rankings. SMU, Kansas, Iowa and Nebraska are ranked in the top 50.
 
The Shockers return to action Friday, March 27, hosting South Florida.
