Wang Named American Conference Women’s Tennis Player of the Week

IRVING, Texas – After going a flawless 4-0 across singles and doubles, Wichita State's Xin Tong Wang was named the American Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week on Tuesday by the conference office.
 
Wang led the Shockers to a pair of road victories over UTSA and No. 42 Rice, winning at the No. 1 doubles and No. 1 singles positions in both matches.
 
Wang is 5-3 in singles and 7-1 in doubles this season. She is ranked No. 12 in doubles with Giorgia Roselli and No. 124 in singles.
 
For Wang, the award is her second conference player of the week honor of the season, as she also claimed the award on Jan. 21. Fellow Shockers Vichitraporn Vimuktananda and Giorgia Roselli have also earned the weekly award this season.
 
Wang and the Shockers continue the 2026 season on Friday against Arkansas State in Indian Wells, California.
