Jaleel Montgomery set a new school record in the 60 meters, and freshman
Darius Graham cleared a new conference lead in the high jump Friday evening at the Steve Miller Invitational at the Cliff Rovelto Indoor Track.

After being 0.01 seconds away from the record last time out at the Coach Wilson Invitational, the Wichita native tied
Tanner Brown and Denvoir Griffin's record of 6.76 in the prelim at the Steve Miller Invite before smashing it with a time of 6.70 in the final, finishing second and moving up to third in the American Athletic Conference standings.

Graham, a Poplar Bluff, Mo. native, cleared 2.08m/6'9.75" to take third in the high jump and move up to No. 1 in the AAC, giving the Shockers the top two spots in the standings in the event.

In the 60-meter hurdles,
Josh Parrish ran a personal-best time of 7.82 to rank second in the conference and sixth all-time in school history, finishing second by 0.003 seconds.

Arantxa Cortez cleared 3.92m/12'10.25" in the pole vault, a new personal best good for fourth in the AAC and seventh in school history.

Sadie Millard ran antoher Wichita State all-time top-10 time, clocking 24.52 in the 200 meters, and
Joakim Genereux moved up to fourth in Shocker history in the 400 meters with a time of 48.02.

In the triple jump,
Chidera Okoro placed fifth with a personal best jump of 12.24m/40'2", the No. 10 mark in school history and fifth-best in the conference standings.
