FORT WORTH, Texas -- With a tournament win and a runner-up finish already on the resumé through the first two weeks of the regular season, the #5-ranked Wichita State women's bowling team returns to Texas for the Bulldog Classic, hosted by Louisiana Tech at Cityview Lanes. The tournament begins Friday, November 7 and concludes on Sunday, November 9.
The Shockers are one of 10 ranked teams in the 16-team field, including four of the top five teams in the nation. The first two rounds of Saturday's traditional matches are positional rounds, with opponents determined based on the standings from Friday's results.

Baker matches are structured with five players combining to bowl one game, each bowling two frames. Player one bowls frames 1 and 6, player two bowls frames 2 and 7, player three bowls frames 3 and 8, player four bowls frames 4 and 9 and player 5 bowls frames 5 and 10. In traditional matches, five players each bowl an individual game, with all five games added together.
The Shockers are coming off their first team title of the season last weekend at the Track Kat Klash, sweeping #9 Louisiana Tech in the final to secure the trophy. Wichita State went 9-3 over the course of the qualifying matches, finishing at the top of the standings in total pinfall.
Morgan Kline paced WSU individually, placing third with a 208.0 average and a tournament-best 256 game.
Aleesha Oden continued her strong start to the season, placing 12th to earn a spot on the Conference USA Performers of the Month Team.
