WICHITA, Kan. – After leading Wichita State women's bowling to consecutive Final Fours including an NCAA National Championship match appearance, head coach Holly Harris has signed a five-year contract extension that runs through July 2031.

"Since taking the reins of this program, Harris has built a culture centered on student-athlete development, accountability, and competing at the highest level. The consistent excellence on the lanes, combined with the success of our student-athletes in the classroom, are a testament to the vision she has for this program. We're proud to secure her place here at Wichita State and eager to watch her elevate Shocker bowling to new heights."
 
Following a decorated stint at the helm of Wichita State's club program, Harris has led Shocker women's bowling into the NCAA era with two remarkable seasons. In their NCAA debut in 2024-25, Wichita State finished with an overall record of 87-38, winning the Conference USA tournament and Lansing Regional to reach the NCAA Final Four. The Shockers also added a pair of regular season titles, bringing home trophies from the Columbia 300 Saints Invite and Mid-Winter Invitational. Harris was named Conference USA and NTCA Coach of the Year, while Sara Duque Jiménez, Ashtyn Woods, Mary Orf and Paige Wagner each earned All-America and All-Conference honors.
 
Harris and the Shockers one-upped themselves in 2025-26, earning a second consecutive Final Four appearance before defeating Arkansas State and Vanderbilt to advance to the NCAA National Championship, where they ultimately fell to #1-ranked Jacksonville State. Wichita State posted a 79-36 overall record and the #3 ranking in the final NTCA Coaches Poll, the highest ranking in NCAA program history. Duque Jiménez, Woods, and Wagner again earned All-America honors in addition to a First Team nod for Aleesha Oden, who delivered the first 300 game in NCAA Final Four history against Arkansas State.

All told, Harris has guided Wichita State to a 166-74 record in two NCAA seasons, good for a .692 winning percentage. The Shockers have won four regular season tournaments, one conference tournament, and two regional tournaments over the course of those two campaigns.
