BOCA RATON, Fla. – Wichita State hit .272 on the way to a 3-1 win at Florida Atlantic (16-8, 7-4). The Shockers (15-8, 7-4) won by scores of 25-22, 25-19, 15-25 and 25-18.

Brooklyn Leggett led the Shockers with 19 kills, while hitting .471.
Jordan Heatherly had a double-double with 36 assists and 16 digs, while
Gabi Maas had her first career double-double with 20 digs and a career-high 10 assists.
Allie Paulsen tied her career-high with nine block assists.

A Paulsen/Leggett block put the Shockers up 4-1 in the first set and a 3-0 Shocker run pushed the lead to 16-10. The Owls pulled within 19-18, but WSU scored three of the next four points to take a 22-19 lead. The Shockers reached set point 24-21 on a kill by
Emerson Wilford and won the set 25-22 on a Leggett kill.

The second set went back and forth until the Shockers used a 3-0 run to go in front 11-8. With the score tied at 15, WSU reeled off three-straight points for an 18-15 lead and a
Maddie Wilson kill pushed it to 20-16. WSU won the set 25-19 after back-to-back Wilford kills.

The Owls raced out to an 11-5 lead in the third set and pushed it to 23-13 after a 6-1 run. FAU won the set 25-15.

The two teams traded points in the fourth set until WSU used a 3-0 run to take a 10-7 lead. A Wilson kill pushed the lead to 13-9 and a 6-0 Shocker run made the score 22-13. A Leggett kill brought the Shockers to match point at 24-16 and WSU won the set 25-18 on a FAU hitting error.
