WICHITA, Kan. - Wichita State (11-6, 3-2) defeated Memphis (9-10, 1-4) 3-0 for their third conference victory of the season on Friday night at Charles Koch Arena. WSU won by scores of 30-28, 25-17 and 25-16.
The Shockers recorded a .295 hitting percentage with 45 kills and 12 errors. The Tigers hit .147, with 31 kills and 17 errors.
Brooklyn Leggett led the Shockers with 15 kills, hitting .433.
Grace Hett finished with a career-high 13 digs, the most by a WSU player.
Jordan Heatherly led the Shockers with 21 assists.
Sydney Dunning collected a career-high seven service aces in the match, the most by a Shocker since Sara Younes had seven against Bradley on Oct. 29, 2004.
The Shockers face UAB at 12 p.m. on Sunday at Charles Koch Arena.
