TOPEKA, Kan. – Wichita State claimed 10 event wins, putting up nine Wichita State all-time top-10 marks and setting four meet records on Friday and Saturday at the Ichabod Invitational.

Destiny Masters ran four personal bests, each one moving her up the Shocker all-time lists, starting with her first 60-meter race in over a year where she ran 7.59 in Friday's qualifying round. She went on to win Saturday's prelim in 7.57 before clocking 7.56 to take second in the final, coming in at No. 6 in Shocker history.
Faith Turner also made the 60-meter final and finished third with a season-best time of 7.60.

Masters went on to win the 60-meter hurdles final with another personal best of 8.34, the third-fastest time in Wichita State history, tying for second in the American Athletic Conference and setting a new meet record.
Kate Campos ran 8.58 to finish second.

Masters and
Brady Palen gave the Shockers the high jump sweep with Masters clearing 1.79m/5'10.5" to tie the Ichabod Invitational meet record and Palen winning the jump off with unattached jumper, Mayson Conner, at 2.13m/6'11.75" to set a new meet record.

In the long jump,
Chidera Okoro joined the six-meter club, jumping 6.00m/19'8.25" to win the event, and
Yuben Goncalves jumped a personal-best 7.46m/24'5.75" to win the men's competition.

Wichita State swept all the relays and put up three Shocker all-time top-10 times. The women's distance medley relay team of
Lea Jerkovic,
Tyler Lindsey,
Farrah Miller and
Lucy Ndungu ran 11:52.52, the seventh-fastest time in WSU history to win the race, and the men's team of
Jacob Meyers,
Bryan Haney,
Brock Merz and
Riley Vandaveer won the men's race in 10:09.53.

In the 4x400-meter relay, the Shocker men (Haney,
Jason Parrish,
JD Prinsloo and
Trace Spires) clocked the seventh-fastest time in Shocker history, 3:14.29, to win the event, and the women (
Sydney Brown,
Elontae Hackney-Cooper,
Sadie Millard and
Farrah Miller) ran 3:45.53, the ninth-fastest time in Wichita State history and a new meet record, to claim a Shocker relay sweep.

Hackney-Cooper also ran a big personal best in the open 400 meters, running 56.50 to finish second, and Spires recorded the ninth-best time in school history, 48.33, to also finish second.

In the men's 60-meter hurdles,
Josh Parrish ran his sixth sub-eight second race, placing third with a time of 7.91, just 0.01 seconds off his personal best.

Jaleel Montgomery moved up the WSU 200 meters all-time list to eighth with a personal-best time of 21.66, finishing seventh.
Â
Lucy Ndungu led the distance women to a 1-2-3-4 sweep of the 3,000 meters, winning the race in 9:52.81.
Jenna Muma finished second with a personal-best time of 9:55.65,
Sarah Bertry finished third in 9:57.60 and
Miranda Dick ran 10:01.12 to place fourth.

In the men's 3,000-meter race,
Adam Rzentkowski recorded the ninth-fastest time in program history, 8:16.50, to finish fourth.

Wichita State will send a partial squad to the Arkansas Qualifier on Friday, Feb. 16 before heading to Birmingham, Ala. for the AAC Indoor Championships on Feb. 23-24.
