WICHITA, Kan. -- Wichita State junior outfielder Chuck Ingram was selected to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll, the conference announced Monday. This is the third Honor Roll selection of the season for Ingram, who was also honored on March 20 and March 27.

Ingram put together perhaps the best three-game stretch of his career to help the Shockers to a series win at Tulane over the weekend. The right-handed hitting slugger went 10-for-14 in the series (.714 batting average) with six extra-base hits, including his first career multi-homer game in the nightcap of Friday's doubleheader and a career-high three doubles in Sunday's series finale win. Batting out of the leadoff spot, Ingram scored eight runs and drove in five, recording three, three and four hits in the three-game set.

The Kansas City native contributed in all facets of the game, adding his seventh stolen base of the season and also making a series of excellent defensive plays, highlighted by a sliding catch in right-center field in the first inning on Sunday.

After a First Team All-Conference season a year ago, Ingram is on pace to shatter his personal bests across the board, with a season slash line of .344/.434/.603. He has already established new career highs with 14 doubles and 18 walks, raising his on-base percentage 72 points as compared to 2022.

Ingram and the Shockers are back in action on Tuesday as they travel to Manhattan to take on Kansas State. First pitch is scheduled for 6:00 pm.
