Wichita State has agreed to a two-game men's basketball series with the Richmond Spiders, beginning on the road this season.
Â

Â
Richmond (24-13, No. 84 in the NCAA NET Rankings) won the Atlantic 10 tournament title last March and knocked off fifth-seeded Iowa in the first round of the NCAA tournament. 18
th-year head coach Chris Mooney returns two starters from that squad, including leading scorer and All-A10 selection Tyler Burton (16.1 ppg, 7.7 rpg).
Â
Wichita State (15-13, No. 87 NET) will lean on senior point guard
Craig Porter Jr. while getting a largely revamped roster up to speed. What the Shockers lack in continuity, they make up for in experience with eight transfers who have played at least one season of Division I hoops.
Â
The complete 2022-23 Shocker men's basketball schedule is due out next week, along with most tipoff times and television assignments.
