WICHITA – The Wichita State track and field team hosted a small tune-up meet to wrap up the regular season Friday at Cessna Stadium.

The Shockers are one week out from hosting the American Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships from May 13-15.

Davis Dubbert highlighted the day with a season-best clearance of 2.11m/6-11 to win the high jump and move up to third in the conference, right behind teammate
Brady Palen.

In the pole vault,
Karen Lyvers recorded a new personal best for the second-straight meet with her jump of 3.87m/12-8 to continue to climb the Shocker all-time list, moving up to No. 8.
Samantha Marx also etched her name in the record books with a personal-best throw of 50.01m/164-1 in the hammer, sliding into the ninth place all-time.

Chidera Okoro joined the 12-meter club in the triple jump with her new personal-best mark of 12.20m/40-0.5 to win the event.
Matt Everett and
Ridge Estes placed second and third in the discus, both throwing over 54 meters, and
Morgan Conner won the long jump, matching his personal-best leap of 6.97m/22-10.5.

Michael Bryan secured his fifth hammer victory of the season, and
Yuben Goncalves ran a season-best 52.44 in a solo 400-meter hurdles race. Bryan continues to lead the conference by two meters in the hammer, and Goncalves sits in scoring position for the Shockers in the 400m hurdles at No. 5.

In the shot put,
Amanda Kakoulias picked up her third win, throwing her second-best mark of the season (15.31m/50-2.75) to remain third in the conference.

Sixteen Shocker seniors were honored throughout the day for their contributions to the Wichita State track and field program throughout their time on the team.
