WICHITA – The Wichita State men's tennis team added transfer student-athlete Misha Kvantaliani to the roster for the 2022-23 season.

"Misha is a very good athlete, strong and quick around the court," head coach
Danny Bryan said. "He can take the ball early and play aggressive tennis."

The Tbilisi, George native most recently played for UTRGV and currently holds a 12.29 Universal Tennis Rating

"In addition to his tennis level, I believe he will add value to our team in terms of his college tennis experience and his work ethic," Bryan said. "He will make our team tougher. We're excited to have him join us."

Kvantaliani played No. 1 singles for the Vaqueros, recording a 9-9 record in duals this spring. and also went 8-6 at No. 1 doubles. He's earned a career-high ATP singles ranking of 1,723.

With two years of eligibility remaining, Kvantaliani will graduate from UTRGV this summer and pursue his master's degree in Sport Management at Wichita State beginning in the fall semester.
