NORMAN, Okla. – The Wichita State track and field team wrapped up a two-day meet Saturday at the John Jacobs Track and Field Complex.

Friday's competition was highlighted by
Michael Bryan's fourth win of the outdoor season with a throw of 68.53m/224-20 in the hammer. Also on day one,
Ridge Estes recorded a personal-best throw of 15.86m/52-0.5 in the shot put to take seventh in the event.

On day two,
Abeba Sullivan kicked things off with a second-place finish in the 1500 meters with a time of 4:40.24. Over in the javelin throw,
Taran Taylor and
Davis Dubbert threw season bests to take first (69.41m/227-8) and third (61.75m/202-7), respectively. Taylor remains atop the American Athletic Conference standings and currently ranks 25
th in the nation in the event.

In the pole vault,
Margaux Thompson finished third with a personal-best clearance of 3.90m/12-9.5, earning her the outright ownership of the seventh spot on the Shocker all-time list. Her mark also ranks her fifth in the conference.

Back on the track,
Paula Garcia placed third in both the 100 meters (11.78) and 200 meters (23.94), recording season bests in each.
Faith Turner finished right behind Garcia in the 200m with a personal-best time of 24.16, securing her the 10
th spot on the WSU all-time list.

Two Shocker discus throwers also climbed the all-time list with
Matt Everett claiming the seventh spot with a second-place throw of 55.23m/181-2 and Estes placing third with a toss of 54.17m/177-8 to move up a spot to ninth all-time. Everett and Estes now rank second and third, respectively, in the AAC.

Asher Moen closed out the individual events with a win for the Shockers in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, crossing the line in 9:50.33.

The Shockers return to the oval Thursday and Saturday, April 28 and 30 for the Drake Relays and Rock Chalk Classic.
