TOPEKA, Kan. – Adam Moore claimed the outright school record with his 4:01.08 performance in the mile at the Ichabod Invitational in Topeka on Saturday.

Moore had previously tied the 43-year-old record, set by Alan Walker, at the Adidas Classic in Nebraska at the end of January. His new record-breaking time ranks him third in the conference in the event.
Bryce Merriman also ran a new personal best in the mile with a time of 4:10.97 to place seventh.

In the women's mile,
Yazmine Wright won the event by almost 15 seconds to set a new facility and meet record at Washburn and move up to fourth all-time in Shocker history. She also ranks third in the conference in the event.

Lubna Suied-Aldulaimi and
Ben Flowers both raced in the 5,000-meters, setting new personal bests with times of 17:44.15 and 14:42.64, respectively.

The track and field team heads to Fayetteville, Arkansas for their final regular season indoor meet Friday, February 18 at the Randal Tyson Track Center.
