WICHITA, Kan. – Wichita State sophomore middle blockerÂ
Natalie Foster was named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll on Monday.
It's the third weekly honor for Foster, who was named Defensive Player of the Week on September 5 and snagged a spot on the Honor Roll on October 17.
Foster has put together a dominant stretch of volleyball over the last three weeks, highlighted by two excellent performances this past weekend in road wins over East Carolina and Temple. The 6'4 middle had 16 kills in each match while committing just seven attack errors on 57 combined swings, good for a .439 hitting percentage. She added three block assists in both matches, and even produced the match-winning service ace on Friday at East Carolina.Â
Over the last six matches, Foster has bludgeoned volleyballs to the tune of a .421 hitting percentage (85 kills, 16 errors, 164 total attempts), raising her season mark to .358, fifth-best in the American Athletic Conference. The native of Mattawan, Michigan is on pace for career bests in kills per set, blocks per set, digs per set, and aces per set.
Foster and the Shockers return home on Friday night to host Tulane. First serve from Charles Koch Arena is scheduled for 7:00 pm.
