STARKVILLE, Miss. – The Wichita State men's tennis team is sending three athletes to the MSU Bulldog Invitational this weekend in Starkville, Miss.
 
"We're excited to be able to get three guys into this event," head coach Danny Bryan said. "It's going to be a strong competition."
 
Jackie Lin, Ray Lo and Luka Mrsic will be playing against athletes from Michigan, Mississippi State, Tulane and Alabama. Mississippi State is a strong opponent with four nationally-ranked singles players and a No. 6 ranked doubles team.
 
All three of the Shockers making the trip had strong starts to the fall season at the OSU Invitational. Mrsic was a major standout, going undefeated in singles.


"This is going to be an opportunity for all three of them to build on what they did at Oklahoma State," Bryan said. "We saw a lot of good stuff from them, and we've worked on some of the things that needed improvement over the last two weeks."
 
Lin and Mrsic will pair up for doubles this weekend after playing one match together in Stillwater.
 
"We're excited to see Jackie and Luka play doubles together here," Bryan said. "It seemed like they had really good chemistry in their match at Oklahoma State, so we're looking forward to seeing if that's something they can repeat and if that's a possible team for us in the spring."
 
The tournament will start Friday, Oct. 1 and wrap up Sunday, Oct. 3.
