Wichita State men's and women's track and field programs were both dubbed All-Academic Teams by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) and 16 student-athletes were singled out for individual honors.
To be eligible for individual recognition, student-athletes must carry a 3.25+ cumulative GPA and must have either qualified for an NCAA outdoor regional or ranked among the national leaders in at least one indoor event (top-96 individually or top-48 for relays).
In order to earn team recognition, all members of a program's squad list must have combined for a 3.0+ GPA (on a 4.0 scale) during the 2020-21 school year.
The Shocker women finished the year with a 3.40 combined GPA. Individual qualifiers included:
Kendra Henry (Liberal Arts & Science),
Kourtni Hubert (Exercise Science),
Amanda Kakoulias (Business Administration),
Destiny Masters (Social Work),
Nicole McMillen (Marketing),
Claudia Rojo (Aerospace Engineering),
Rebekah Topham (Coaching Certificate) and
Yazmine Wright (Biological Science).
The Shocker men teamed up for a 3.16 GPA in 2020-21. All-Academic Individuals included:
Tanner Brown (Accounting),
Davis Dubbert (Applied Economics),
Ethan Kossover (Criminal Justice),
Cauy Lindsay (Exercise Science),
Cory Martens (Human Resource Management), Adria Navajon (Entrepreneurship),
Brady Palen (Finance) and
Zack Penrod (Business Administration).
