IRVING, Texas – Wichita State volleyball senior middle blocker
Emma Wright was named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll for her performance on the volleyball court during the week of March 15-21, the conference office announced Monday, March 22.

Wright, who hails from Phoenix, Ariz., hit .489 with 22 kills on 45 attempts and no errors in Wichita State's two matches against Kansas Thursday, March 18, and Saturday, March 20.

In WSU's home contest vs. the Jayhawks Thursday, Wright tallied a .500 hitting percentage with 12 kills on 24 swings and zero errors, before posting 10 kills on 21 attempts with zero miscues for a .476 hitting percentage at Kansas Saturday.

Defensively, Wright added seven block assists on the week, compiling four Thursday and three Saturday.

Wichita State is scheduled to wrap up its regular season schedule with a pair of American Athletic Conference home matches against the Houston Cougars, Friday, March 26, at 7 p.m. and Saturday, March 27, at 1 p.m. at Charles Koch Arena.
