American Releases 2020 Conference Schedule

9/20/2019 9:00:00 AM

The American Athletic Conference released its men's basketball schedule Friday morning along with television assignments and start times.

The Shockers open and close their 18-game conference slate at home with a New Year's Day matinee against ECU and a rivalry game against Tulsa on Sunday, Mar. 9. In between, WSU will play host to seven teams that qualified for 2019 postseason play.

Marquee dates mark the January calendar. As previously announced, the Shockers will also host Ole Miss on Saturday, Jan. 4 as part of the new American-SEC scheduling alliance. Memphis brings its highly-touted freshmen to Charles Koch Arena on Jan. 9. Defending AAC champion Houston (Jan. 18) advanced to the NCAA Sweet 16 last March, and UCF (Jan. 25) came within a shot of joining them in the tournament's second weekend.

February brings visits from Cincinnati (Feb. 6), Tulane (Feb. 16), USF (Feb. 20) and Temple (Feb. 27). Cincinnati and Temple were NCAA tournament teams last year, and USF won the CBI championship.

The 2020 American Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Championship will take place March 12-15 at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas. ESPN networks will provide live coverage of all four days of the championship.

For the third-consecutive year, all 18 of WSU's conference games will air nationally. The Shockers are booked for 24 total appearances during the regular season, with 18 games on the ESPN family of networks (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU and ESPNEWS) and six on CBS Sports Network.

YurView Kansas will air the seven remaining non-conference games, along with the team's Oct. 29 exhibition against Northeastern State. Cox subscribers can tune in on channel 2022. Streaming is available to all at YurView.com/Kansas.

All games aired on an ESPN network will also be available through the ESPN App, computers, smartphones, tablets and streaming devices to fans who receive their high-speed Internet connection or video subscription from an affiliated service provider.

CBS Sports' coverage will be available to stream live via the CBS All Access subscription service, with additional coverage on CBSSports.com and CBS Sports HQ. CBS Sports Network is widely available through all major cable, satellite and telco distributors as well as via OTT streaming service providers YouTube TV, fuboTV, PlayStation Vue, DirecTV and Hulu. Additionally, a live CBS Sports Network stream is available through CBSSports.com and the CBS Sports App by authenticating with select providers. For more information, including a full programming schedule, go to www.cbssportsnetwork.com.

Single-game tickets will go on sale at later date. For more information or to purchase season tickets, contact the Shocker Ticket Office at 316-978-FANS or log on to goshockers.com/tickets.
