CHANDLER, Ariz. - The Wichita State men's golf team wrapped up play in the Wyoming Cowboy Classic on Tuesday.

The Shockers finished 16th as a team, finishing ahead of Weber State, Utah State, CSU-Northridge and Old Dominion. Highlighting the individual results was Brock Polhill, who finished with a career low 54-hole score of 217 and his highest career finish after placing in a tie for 37th.

Senior Yannik Emmert came up with two, 2-under par rounds to wrap up tournament action, leading the Shocker scorecard in a tie for 32nd individually. Zac Owens tied for 72nd after totaling a 223 score.

Grayson Wallace improved his career low by 12 strokes in just his second collegiate tournament, recording a 227 and a tie for 94th. Nicholas Absil finished in 118th with a 239 score in his first career tournament.

UCLA kept its lead from the first and second round, defeating Cal State Fullerton by seven strokes to claim the event title. GCU finished in third with a score of 850 while host institution finished two strokes ahead of Santa Clara for fourth place.

Wichita State continues its spring season by getting its first look at Houston before the American Athletic Conference Championship. The Shockers are set to compete in the Bayou City Collegiate Classic, with the first round set to tee off on Monday.
