DALLAS- The Wichita State men's tennis team picked up win number 14 on the season, with a 4-0 sweep of SMU Sunday at the SMU Tennis Complex. The win marks the fourth-straight for the Shockers.
 
DOUBLES
The Shockers clinched the doubles point for the fourth-straight match, collecting wins on courts two and three. Haru Inoue and Stefan Latinovic got things started for the Shockers on the third court, rolling over Michael Smith and Andrew Buhelos, 6-1. Playing together for the first time this season, Orel Ovil and Andrea Caligiana clinched the doubles point with a 6-4 win over Carles Sarrio and Huntley Allen. No. 26-ranked Murkel Dellien and Marius Frosa were up 5-4 on Tomas Vaise and Jan-Simon Vrbsky before play was suspended.
 
SINGLES
The Shockers grabbed wins on courts three, four and six to complete the 4-0 sweep over the Mustangs. Ovil recorded his 10^th win of the season in the sixth flight, knocking off Gardiner Perotti in straight sets, 6-4, 6-1. Frosa pulled out a close first set over Roberto Rosales on cour three (7-6(4), before rolling away with a 6-2 win in the second set to give the Shockers a 3-0 lead. The remaining four matches were all in the third set, with SMU holding the upper hand in two of the four. Stoica picked up his seventh win in the fourth flight, winning a three-set battle with left-handed Vaise (4-6, 6-4, 6-2) to clinch the win.
 
The remaining three courts on were all coming down to the wire, with the Mustangs leading in two of the three. Latinovic came up just short of his 10^th win of the season, where he faced Allen in the fifth slot. Latinovic jumped out to a 6-4 first set win, before Allen answered with a 6-2 win in the second. After going back and forth in the third, play was suspended with Latinovic leading 4-3 in a tiebreaker. Inoue trailed Vrbsky 5-3 in the third set, and Dellien was serving down 3-2 before going unfinished.
 
The Shockers completed their second sweep in as many matches, and will close out the regular season with a trip to Arlington Monday, April 8 for a match with UT-Arlington at 1 p.m.
