PITTSBURG, Kan. – Wichita State set 13 personal bests and recorded four Shocker all-time top-10 marks on day two of the Fourth Annual Gorilla Classic.

The Shockers won three individual events, including two field events and one running event.
Nathan Wickoren (3000m | 8:18.68),
Mason Buckmaster (high jump | 2.09m/6-10.25) and
Yazmine Wright (mile | 4:57.68) each won their respective events with personal bests marks.
Â
Wickoren's 3000m time of 8:18.68 is No. 8 on the all-time list.
Â
Other Shockers setting all-time top-10 individual marks include,
Sidney Sapp in the high jump with the No. 3 all-time clearance of 1.80m/5-10.75.

Two relays recorded Wichita State all-time top-10 marks including the men's 4x400m group of
Rayvon Allen,
Jace Coppoc,
Adam Gauzy and
Austin Corley with the seventh fastest time of 3:15.32.

The women's 4x400m were not out done running the fifth fastest time in Shocker history. The group of
Tianna Holmes,
Trudy Martin,
Taniyah McMillian and
Daysha Bullocks ran a 3:44.51 race.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Shockers entered four athletes in day two competition at the Tyson Invitational.

Alex Adams,
Amanda Kakoulias,
Kelsey Slawson and
Cory Martens each were entered the shot put.
Â
Slawson led the group finishing seventh with a mark of 15.48m/48-7.5, followed by Kakoulias in 12th (13.74m/45-1) and Adams in 16th (12.14m/39-10).

On the men's side, after fouling on his first attempt, Martens came back and recorded a mark of 15.76m/51-8.5 to place 12th.
