WICHITA, Kan. – Seven Wichita State men's tennis players will travel down to Tulsa, Oklahoma, to compete in the ITA All-American Championships which start on Saturday, and run through Oct. 13, at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
Â
Leading the way will be the No. 5 senior duo of
Marius Frosa and
Murkel Dellien, who were selected for the doubles main draw which will begin on Wednesday. They find themselves alone in the record books as the only team in school history to begin their tournament in the main draw at the ITA All-American Championships. They were also picked for the main draw in 2017. Frosa and Dellien are the only duo in program history to accomplish the feat.
Â
Frosa and Dellien will also be starting their singles tournaments in the qualifying draw on Monday, while
Stefan Latinovic,
Elio Lago,
Orel Ovil,
Alex Richards, and
Rafael Serra will look to make some noise and battle their way through the pre-qualifying singles draw starting on Saturday.
