BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Shockers collected four wins on day two of the Hoosier Winter Invite, Sunday inside the IU Tennis Center.
Sarvinoz Saidhujaeva and
Esther Thebault began the day with a doubles win, knocking off Alexandrina Chinikova and Lesley Foe of Marquette, 6-0.
Alexandra Lazarova teamed with
Ting-Ya Hsu, taking down Chinikova and Isabella Franks, 6-4.
Lazarova and Hsu fell to Henry of Abilene Christian and McCoy of Indiana (7-6 (7)), and Bernard and Whalen of Indiana defeated Saidhujaeva and Thebault, 6-1.
In singles, both Thebault and Hsu picked up straight-set victories. Thebault knocked off Bernards of Indiana (6-2, 6-4) and Hsu took down Henry of ACU, 6-3, 6-3. Elsewhere, Indiana's Whalen won over Saidhujaeva (6-1, 7-5) and Lazarova fell to Memishishi (ACU) 7-5, 6-3.
