WICHITA, Kan. – Head coach
Grier Jones announced Friday the 2018-19 Wichita State men's golf schedule, which will include 11 tournaments overall.
The Shockers appear in seven tournaments that they participated in 2017-18, opening the season at the Joe Feaganes Marshall Invitational [Sept. 10-11] in Huntington, W.V.
"We have several events that we play in every year and the guys can have some experience at these certain golf courses," Jones said. "We're excited to add a few new events this year, and also looking forward to going back to Innsbrook Resort for the American Athletic Conference Championship. We're really looking forward to beginning of the year in West Virginia."
Wichita State will see five teams that participated in the 2018 NCAA Championships during the season. The Shockers start this stretch against Kansas in The Jackrabbit on Sept. 30-Oct.2 in addition to facing conference foe UCF.
Adding three new tournaments to their schedule, the Shockers will head to the 34th Louisiana Classics for the first time. Teams featured in Lafayette, La., include 2018 NCAA Championship participants Illinois and Kent State. Â
