PHOENIX, Ariz. - Gage Ihrig led the Wichita State men's golf team to seventh place finish at the Grand Canyon University Invite after finishing tied for 12th individually.
Ihrig carded a two-under 69, his best score of the tournament, in round three to finish with 213 overall.
Adrien Michellod finished six strokes behind with 219 after carding a one-over 73 in the final round; good for tied for 30th.
Conrad Walcher shot 76 to finish with 220 and tied for 40th.
Erik Angesten finished tied for 43rd with 221, a single stroke behind Walcher.
Missouri won the team title after ending the tournament with 850. Pacific finished two strokes behind in second with 852, while tournament hosts Grand Canyon a further four strokes behind at 856 in third. The Shockers finished in seventh with
871.
Ihrig and the men's golf team now look to the Furman Intercollegiate held in Greenville, S.C., Friday through Sunday next weekend.
