Brown Selected to American Weekly Honor Roll

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Wichita State University senior outside hitter Tabitha Brown was named to the American Athletic Conference's Weekly Honor Roll for her performance during the week of Oct. 8-14, the conference office announced on Monday, Oct. 15.

Brown, a native of Spring, Texas, averaged 4.50 kills, 5.12 points, 3.12 digs, 0.25 service aces and 0.50 blocks per set in WSU's conference home matches against ECU and Cincinnati Friday, Oct. 12, and Sunday, Oct. 14.
 
In Sunday's five-set loss to first-place and conference undefeated Cincinnati, she posted a career-high 28 kills and hit .284. The 28 kills tied for sixth on the Charles Koch Arena single match records list. Brown also had a pair of solo blocks in the contest against the Bearcats.
 
Friday, in Wichita State's 3-1 triumph over East Carolina, Brown posted eight kills to go along with a pair of service aces and two block assists.
 
For the week, she compiled 36 kills on 95 attempts with 10 errors for a .274 hitting percentage.
 
Wichita State is scheduled to travel to Dallas, Texas, for a conference match against SMU Friday, Oct. 19, at 7 p.m.
