LAS CRUCES, N.M. - The Wichita State men's golf team finished the first 36 holes of the Herb Wimberly Invitational on Monday.

The Shockers are currently in eighth place, coming up with a team score of 604.

Sophomore Zac Owens eyes his second career top-20 finish of the season, with his 148 putting him in a tie for 18th place. Freshman Dawson Lewis is tied for 38th place after shooting 151 while senior Adrien Michellod shot a 153 to put himself in a tie for 43rd.

Senior Yannik Emmert shot a 154 and is tied for 53rd and freshman Brock Polhill is currently tied for 69th after compiling a 158.

Host institution New Mexico State leads the team standings after combining for a 580-team score, leading Oral Roberts by four strokes. The Shockers trail Incarnate Word by four strokes and have a five-stroke lead on Odessa College.  

Wichita State wraps up their fall season on Tuesday with the final round of the Herb Wimberly Invitational, with tee-off starting at 9:30 a.m. CT (8:30 MT).
