FORT COLLINS, Colo. - The Wichita State men's golf team finished tied for 17th at the Ram Masters Invite with all five Shockers finishing within 10 strokes. 

Gage Ihrig led the Shockers after finishing at 220 [tied for 46th] through the three rounds with Yannik Emmert a further three strokes behind at 223. Emmert carded the teams best single round score of the tournament in the first round with a 1-over 71 to finish tied for 59th.

Conrad Walcher finished a further stroke behind Emmert on 224, carding 75 in the back 18 to finish tied for 66th. 

Palmer Hays finished in 84th after finishing with 227 and Erik Angesten finished tied for 91st with 230. 

Competing individually, Palmer Hays finished tied for 54th behind a 1-over 71 in the final round to finish with 222.

Tournament hosts Colorado State dominated the field from the first tee, eventually carding a tournament 54-hole record [823, 17-under par] and biggest margin of victory record for its fourth straight Ram Masters title. UMKC finished in second with 842 while Wyoming finished third with 843. The Shockers finished back tied for 17th at 891.

The men will look to get back on track Oct. 9-10 in Kansas City, Mo., when they travel to the Bill Ross Intercollegiate for a fifth straight season.
