WICHITA, Kan.—Haru Inoue is on to the finals of the Laguna Niguel Futures event, and will compete on Sunday for a shot at the main draw.
 
Inoue took care of Ku Keon Kang in the first set 6-2. Kang, from South Korea, had to retire before the second set due to injury. Samir Iftikhar of Pakistan is set to face Inoue tomorrow at the Laguna Niguel Racquet Club. Iftikhar had a career singles record of 81-45 while attending University of New Mexico from 2012-15. The match is scheduled to start at 1:00 p.m. CT.
 
With a win, Inoue will advance to the last four of the qualifying round and receive a bid into the main draw of 32.
