Final Results

EDMOND, Okla. - The Wichita State men's golf team improved as a team to card its best team score of the tournament in tSavehe final round to finish in ninth position at The Maxwell in Oklahoma. 

Grant Bennett and Yannik Emmert led the Shockers through both days, finishing tied for 23rd on the individual leaderboard. Bennett carded his best round of the tournament with a 2-over 72 in the final 18 to finish at 218 overall. Emmert also carded a 2-over 72 to finish with 218. 

Gage Ihrig finished tied for 42nd after carding his best and the Shockers best round of the tournament with a 2-under 68 in the final round to finish with 223 overall. Ihrig shot 77 and 78 through day one. 

Conrad Walcher finished tied for 54th after carding a 4-over 74 on the final day. Walcher ended the tournament with 225 overall. 

Jacob Bishop rounded out the five-man Shocker lineup tied for 76th position. Bishop carded his best round of the tournament on the final day with 76 to finish at 234 overall.

Oklahoma State, ranked second in the nation by GolfStat, took the team title after carding 849 with No. 48 New Mexico and tournament hosts No. 13 Oklahoma finishing tied for second with 855. Wichita State finished in ninth behind its best team score of 286 in the final round to end with 883. The Shockers also finished ahead of two top-50 GolfStat ranked teams, Augusta (45) and Colorado (25), and ahead of three future AAC rivals in Memphis, SMU and East Carolina.
