PHOENIX, Ariz. – Conrad Walcher's second top 20 finish of the season helped Wichita State to finish in sixth position at the Grand Canyon University Invite behind a solid team effort which saw all four Shockers finish within five strokes of each other.

Walcher led the Shockers through day one and didn't let up in day two with a 1-over 72 to finish with 213, his lowest 54-hole score of the season.

Yannik Emmert shot 74 in the final round to finish with 217, good for tied 30th alongside Max Mason who also ended at 217. Mason carded a 2-under 69 in the final round, his lowest 18-hole score of the season, to also finish tied for 30th.

Jacob Bishop carded 71 in the final round, his best score of the tournament, to finish with 218 and tied for 37th.

Gage Ihrig rounded out the Shocker squad in tied for 82nd behind a combined score of 228.

Duke took top honors as a team behind a score of 829 through the three rounds. Tournament hosts Grand Canyon took second with 835 while Eastern Michigan rounded out the top three with 848.

The Shockers are back in action next week when they travel to Greenville, N.C., for the Furman Intercollegiate held at the Furman University Golf Course March 24-26.
