LONG BEACH, Calif. - The Wichita State men's golf team improved on its round one struggles by carding its best score of the 21st Del Walker Intercollegiate in the third and final round to finish 10th in the two-day tournament. 

As has been the case for the majority of the season, Yannik Emmert led the Shockers behind a 1-under 69 in round one and two solid 18 holes of golf in the second and third rounds. Emmert finished tied for sixth individually with 212 overall, his fourth top 10 finish of the season.

Grant Bennett firmly put round one woe behind him by finishing the light-affected round two with 71 and then carding 72 in round three. Bennett finished with 219 and tied for 26th on the individual table.
 
Jacob Bishop put second round problems behind him by carding his best score of the tournament in round three. Bishop shot 69 to eventually finish with 223 and tied for 42nd.

Gage Ihrig and Conraw Walcher both finished the tournament with 230 overall. Ihrig shot 78 and 75 on day two, his best rounds of the tournament, to finish tied for 66th. Walcher carded his best score of the two-day event in round two with 74 before shooting 76 in the back 18. Walcher also finished tied for 66th on the individual table.

Competing individually, Adrien Michellod finished tied for 63rd behind a solid first round to finish with 229 overall. 

Boise State won the tournament thanks to two top-five individual finishes with the team carding 855 overall. Cal Poly took second with 859 with Pacific back in third at 865. Wichita State finished back in 10th with 878. 

The Shockers are back in action March 17-18 when they travel back west to Phoenix, Ariz., for the Grand Canyon University Invite held at the Antelopes University Golf Course.
