Final Results

LAS CRUCES, N.M. - The Wichita State men's golf team took home 10th position at the Herb Wimberly Invitational with Gage Ihrig and Conrad Walcher both finishing in the top-35 individually. 

Ihrig led the Shockers all three rounds en-route to a tied 23rd finish. After carding 76 in the final 18 holes, Ihrig finished on 218, two strokes ahead of Walcher who finished on 220 and tied for 33rd.

Jacob Bishop finished on 225 behind a final round 76, good for tied 52nd, while Palmer Hays finished tied for 67th with 230.

Kale Reynolds finished in 78th position after shooting his only sub-80 score in round three with 79 to finish on 246. 

Competing individually, Erik Angesten finished tied for 46th after shooting his best single round score of 74 on day two to finish at 224. 

As a team the Shockers moved up a spot to finish in 10th position. Grand Canyon ran out as comfortable tournament winners after carding a tournament best 270 in round three. The Antelopes finished 20-under par on 832 ahead of tournament hosts New Mexico State in second. The Aggie's finished on 848 with Texas El Paso in third on 850. 

The Shockers wrap up their fall schedule and now look to the spring schedule which they kick off in San Diego, Calif., in February 2018.
