Final Results

WICHITA, Kan. – The Wichita State men's golf team finished their first tournament of the 2016-2017 season tied for sixth place at the Joe Feaganes Invitational.
 
The men shot a team total of 287 in the third and final round to finish the tournament at 864, which was good for 24-over par.
 
Grant Bennett ended the day at even par after shooting 70 in the third round for a total of 212. Bennett finished tied for 15th overall.
 
Jacob Bishop and Yannik Emmert both finished the tournament with a total of 215 after shooting 72 and 75 in the third round, respectively.  They finished tied for 26th place.
 
Conrad Walcher also shot an even par 70 in the third round to finish the tournament tied for 48th place.  Walcher had a total of 222.
 
Gage Ihrig, who was competing individually, also finished tied for 48th place after shooting 75 in the final round for a total of 222.
 
Max Mason rounded out the Shocker team tied for 86th place individually after shooting an 80 in round three. Mason had a total of 234 over the three rounds.
 
The Shockers look to improve on their opening tournament of the season as they look to the Ram Masters Invitational on September 19– 20 in Fort Collins, Colorado. The tournament is hosted by Colorado State University and will include 2016 NCAA Regional Participants such as Fresno State, Illinois State, Sacramento State, South Dakota State and Idaho amongst others.
