Highlights
MONTREAL, Quebec, Canada – Conner Frankamp (19 points) and
Darral Willis Jr. (15) led a group of six double-figure scorers for Wichita State, which rolled to a 107-58 victory over the University of Quebec at Montreal at the UQAM Sports Centre.
WSU (1-0 on its four-game Canadian exhibition tour) led wire-to-wire, building a 26-5 lead after a quarter and a 54-18 advantage at the half.
The Shockers hassled the smaller Citadins into 30 turnovers with help from 16 steals and converted them into easy buckets in a 57.6 percent shooting performance from the field. A 10-of-18 effort from three-point range further increased their prosperity.
Frankamp hit a sizzling 8-of-10 from the field, including 3-of-4 from three-point range, and collected 10 of his game-high 19 points in the first quarter.
Willis' Shocker debut was an impressive display of power and speed. The former JUCO All-American steamrolled his way to 15 points, five boards and four steals.
Landry Shamet added 14 points,
Shaquille Morris chipped in 13 points in 10 minutes, and
Zach Brown and
Daishon Smith added 10-each.
Smith put up six assists without a turnover.
WSU out-rebounded UQAM 44-31 and outscored the Citadins 21-16 at the foul line.
UQAM was held to 32.1 percent shooting, including a miserable 4-for-21 performance in the first half (.190).
All 14 players that suited up saw action for WSU.

C.J. Keyser sat out with various injuries.
This is the first of four scheduled games on WSU's Canadian exhibition tour. The Shockers travel to Ottawa Sunday to take on six-time defending national champion Carleton (2 p.m. CT).
