Bennett Finishes Tied for 52nd at Regional

STILLWATER, Okla. - Men's golfer Grant Bennett has finished tied for 52nd place at the NCAA Regional at Karsten Creek Golf Course, hosted by Oklahoma State University.

Bennett shot an 80 in today's final round, bringing his total score to 240. Bennett shot a 78 in the first round and an 82 in the second. The junior from Prosper, Texas, ends a successful season with the MVC Golfer of the Year award, an All-Conference selection, five Golfer of the Week awards, nine top-ten finishes, and also led the conference in stroke average. The Shockers finished in second place at the Valley Championship this year, the 20th consecutive season that WSU finished in second place or better at the Championship.

Oklahoma State won the regional, while Purdue, Oklahoma, Louisville and Clemson will also advance to the National Championship. Antoine Rozner from UMKC will compete at the Championship as an individual.
