Scouting Bradley
The Braves are 16-13 overall and 2-3 in the Missouri Valley Conference. Wins this season have come against Austin Peay, Notre Dame, Gonzaga, McNeese, Bucknell three times, Lehigh, Dartmouth, Western Michigan, Butler, MacMurray College, Illinois College, Western Illinois, No. 16 Missouri State and Evansville. Losses have come against Austin Peay twice, Incarnate Word, Texas Southern, McNeese twice, Iowa, Butler, Western Michigan, No. 16 Missouri State, Northwestern and Evansville twice. As a team, they are hitting .282 with a team ERA of 3.96 and a .969 fielding percentage. They are led offensively by Spencer Gaa who is hitting .343 with eight doubles, two triples, two home runs, 16 RBI and four stolen bases. The Braves are led by head coach Elvis Dominguez.

Series History vs. the Braves
Wichita State leads the overall series with Bradley, 91-26. WSU is 56-9 overall against the Braves in Wichita. The Shockers have won 33-straight over BU in Wichita dating back to 1996. Head Coach Todd Butler is 4-2 in his career against Bradley.

Last Meeting vs. BU
The last meeting between the two teams was a three-game series April 17-19, 2015, in Peoria, Ill. The Shockers won game one 5-3, but the Braves won the next two by scores of 4-2 and 3-2. Trey Vickers went 4-for-7 in the series with two RBI to lead the Shockers. Isaac Anderson earned the win, while Jeb Bargfeldt and Chase Williams each took a loss.

Jenista Coming on Strong
Freshman Greyson Jenista has continued to improve this season. Over the last 23 games, he is 25-for-72 (.347) with 15 runs, two doubles, one triple, three home runs, 17 RBI and 18 walks. He is also 9-for-20 (.450) in those games with runners in scoring position.

Mucha Leading Off
After a rough stretch at the beginning of the season, senior outfielder Mikel Mucha has rebounded over the last 31 games. During that span, he is 38-for-103 (.369) with 19 runs, six doubles, one triple, 16 RBI, 19 walks and five stolen bases.

Dugas Taking Off
Dayton Dugas led the Shockers to a series win over defending MVC champion and No. 15 Missouri State over the weekend. For the week, he went 6-for-14 (.429) with four runs, three doubles, six RBI, two walks and a stolen base. On Tuesday against Oklahoma, he went 1-for-3 with a run, a walk and a stolen base. In game one against the Bears, he went 2-for-4 with two runs, three RBI and two doubles and in the series-clinching win he went 3-for-3 with a run, three RBI, a double and a walk.
 
Lewis Close to Perfect
Zach Lewis earned his first career Division I win in the series-clinching win over No. 15 Missouri State on Saturday. He pitched a career-best 6.1 innings and allowed one run on three hits with one walk and five strikeouts. He carried a perfect game into the sixth inning after retiring the first 15 Bears that he faced. He allowed a leadoff walk in the sixth and gave up his first hit, a single, with one out in the sixth. He gave up his only run in the seventh on a single and a double that ended his outing.

Tyler's First CG
Sophomore left-handed pitcher Cody Tyler earned his first career win with a complete game victory on Friday over No. 15 Missouri State. He allowed two runs on 11 hits with no walks and five strikeouts. Three of the five strikeouts came in the first inning with runners at first and second and nobody out. The five strikeouts tied his career-high and the nine innings was also a career-best.
 
Ritter Heating Up
Freshman Luke Ritter had an impressive week last week for the Shockers. In four games, he went 7-for-12 (.583) with five runs two doubles, two RBI and two walks. In Valley play, he is now hitting a team-best .462 with four runs, two doubles, one RBI and two walks.
 
Series Win
Wichita State won games one and three against No. 15 Missouri State over the weekend. It was first series win for the Shockers over a ranked team since taking two out of three against No. 9 Cal State Fullerton in 2014.

Schwanke Locked In
Junior pitcher Willie Schwanke has been locked in over his last four starts. In those four games, Schwanke is 3-1 with a 1.20 ERA and one complete game. He has pitched 30 innings in those four starts and allowed four earned runs on 27 hits with eight walks and 21 strikeouts.
