WICHITA, Kan. – The Wichita State men's golf team look to build off their strong fall season as they travel to San Antonio, Texas to compete in the UTSA Oak Hills Invitational on February 9-10.
WSU will join the 15-team field that includes: Baylor, Houston Baptist, Louisiana-Lafayette, Louisiana Tech, McNeese State, North Texas, Oklahoma, Sam Houston State, Southeastern Louisiana, Southern Miss, Texas State, Tulsa, UMKC and UTSA, the host school. Baylor won the Invitational last year, while the Shockers finished in fifth.
Grant Bennett finished tied for 15
th place to lead WSU.
The Invitational will be played at Oak Hills Country Club. The course has a yardage of 6,765 and is a par-71. The first and second rounds will be played on the 9
th starting at 8 a.m. The final round will be on the 10
th, with tee times starting at 7:30 a.m.

WSU never finished lower than 4
th place last fall, and took first place at the Bill Ross Intercollegiate in October. Bennett had a career-best performance at the Intercollegiate, taking first place for the first time in his career. The team will look to win their ninth-straight and 21
st overall Missouri Valley Conference Championship in April.
