PEORIA, Ill. – Wichita State defeated Bradley for the 28
th-straight time with a 3-0 win on Friday night. The Shockers won by scores of 25-18, 25-14 and 25-20.
Mikaela Raudsepp led the Shockers with 15 kills, while
Abbie Lehman had 14.
Jody Larson had 24 assists and 10 digs and
Emily Hiebert had 26 assists and seven digs.
Dani Mostrom led the Shockers with 20 digs.
The Shockers raced out to a 15-10 lead in the first set after a block by Hiebert and
Katy Dudzinski. Back-to-back kills from Raudsepp increased the lead to 20-12 and WSU went on to win the set 25-18 on a kill by Lehman.
Back-to-back kills from Lehman gave the Shockers a 15-8 lead in the second set and four-straight Shocker kills increased the lead to 21-11. WSU closed out the set 25-14 on a kill by Raudsepp.
A Shocker block from Hiebert and Lehman and a Raudsepp kill gave WSU an 11-6 lead in the third set and forced the Braves to take a timeout. Two-straight Raudsepp kills gave the Shockers a 21-16 lead and the Shockers won the set on 25-20 on a Brave hitting error.
The Shockers are next in action on Sat., Nov. 5 at Loyola at 7 p.m.
