CHICAGO, Ill. – Wichita State won its 18th match of the year with a 3-0 win over Loyola. The Shockers won by scores of 29-27, 25-21 and 25-15.

Abbie Lehman and Tabitha Brown led the Shockers with 11 kills, while Emily Hiebert had 24 assists and Dani Mostrom had 14 digs.

The first set went back and forth until the Ramblers took a 10-8 lead after three-straight points. LUC increased it to 19-16 after two-straight kills, but WSU answered with a 4-0 run to take a 20-19 lead. The two teams traded points until the Ramblers reached set point at 24-22. Kills from Katy Dudzinski and Hiebert tied the score at 24 and the two teams traded points until the Shockers scored the final two points to win the set 29-27.

The Shockers raced out to a 9-4 lead in the second set after back-to-back blocks from Brown and Lehman. Kills from Mikaela Raudsepp, Jody Larson and Brown increased the lead to 20-11, but the Ramblers used a 6-1 run to pull within 21-17. The Shockers reached set point at 24-20 and won the set 25-21 on a kill from Lehman.

A 4-0 Shocker run put WSU up 11-8 in the third set and a Brown kill increased the lead to 17-12. Back-to-back kills from Dudzinski put the Shockers up 23-15 and WSU closed out the set with a 25-15 win.

The Shockers are next in action on Fri., Nov. 11 when they host Illinois State at 5 p.m. inside Charles Koch Arena.
